What’s this? Two awards ceremonies, back-to-back? How fun!
At the end of October, we had the honour of attending the Volunteer Ottawa VOscars, thanks to a nomination from our friends at the Ottawa Festival Network. We were so thrilled to receive an award for Excellence in Volunteer Engagement, and are incredibly proud of the work we do to ensure our volunteers have a fun, fulfilling, and memorable experience with our organization.
In keeping with the spotlight on volunteering, H.O.P.E. also attended the Ottawa Festival Network’s Volunteer Connect Awards! We nominated three fabulous individuals who help make our SummerFest so special:
- Vanessa, from our Scorekeeping Committee and community partners Pride Capital Volleyball
- Andrew, from our Info Booth Committee
- Rey, from our Info Booth Committee
A huge congratulations goes out to Vanessa, for her win as Rookie Volunteer of the Year!
We are so, so grateful to our incredible volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and positivity to H.O.P.E. and our mission. It means the world to us that we are able to give them the recognition they deserve!
