It was a gorgeous, sunny Saturday last weekend when our crew arrived at Britannia Park and Beach. Bags and gloves in hand, smiles all around, and ready to do some cleaning!
For those not in the know, Britannia Beach was the original home of HOPE Volleyball SummerFest all those decades ago! While we love our current home at Mooney’s Bay Beach, Britannia has always been very dear to us. That’s why we joined the City of Ottawa’s Adopt-A-Park program, and “adopted” the park at Britannia as part of our “Expand Our Give” committee. Every year, we like to return to our first home in order to keep it clean, green, and free of litter and graffiti.
Thank you to the amazing volunteers and HOPE members who joined us! We had such a fun time, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
