Food & Bevies Food
All players will receive a free lunch. (And they said that no one ever gets a free lunch.) To keep them going from dawn to dusk all registered participants at HOPE Volleyball SummerFest will receive a delicious bbq lunch prepared by Grill Master. Each member of your team (maximum of 10 people) will receive a 500 ml bottled water, a bag of chips and one of the following items hot off the BBQ: hot dog, hamburger, veggie burger and for Corporate teams, also sausage. To facilitate everyone getting their lunches quickly and to shorten line-ups, team captains will be asked to coordinate food choices and pick up the lunch for the entire team (10 maximum) at the same time in boxes provided by Grill Master. Check for the Team Food Pick Up Order Form in your team registration kit (available Tuesday July 8th or Wednesday July 9th at the RA Centre (2451 Riverside Drive) or for Corporate teams at the Corporate Party on Wednesday, July 9th at Helsinki (15 George Street) - and make sure to consult with your team on their preferences. Please present your order form to the food volunteers at the Lunch Pick Up tent. Lunches will be served during three designated pick-up times: 11 am to 12 pm, 12 pm to 1 pm, and 1 pm to 2 pm. Please pick up your team lunches during your assigned time indicated on the lunch order form in order to avoid long line-ups. Please Note: due to limited quantities in some food items, we cannot guarantee availability of your food choice and substitutions may be made. For non-registered spectators and participants, there are a variety of food vendors onsite to serve your needs. Alcohol It's only fun if it's safe. Please drink responsibly. AGE VERIFICATION REQUIRED! PLEASE NOTE: Captains, let your team members and friends know they are advised to BRING ID if they expect access to the licensed bars at Mooney's Bay on July 12. To be served alcohol, ID will be required of all participants asked to prove they are of legal drinking age, so you MUST bring your ID to the beach. Licensed Bars: Main Bar: Located in the Rogers Amphitheatre at the north end of the beach near Terry Fox parking lot. Wristbands are required for access at this location. Two entrances: VIP wristband access only & main entrance access. The HOT 89.9 HOT Zone Lounge: Join us in the HOT Zone as we serve up your favourite bevies and offer a little shade as we DJ live from the Hot 89.9 FM 'Centre of Hotness'. Located centre beach, west of Gate 2 near Riverside Drive the HOT Zone lounge will open at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 12 - serving will be begin at 11:00 am. The HOT Zone bar will close at 3 pm. There is a $5 entrance fee to access the HOT Zone Lounge for those not registered on a team (those without a wristband). Spectators and participants are welcome. In accordance with City of Ottawa regulations, alcohol consumption is restricted to these licensed areas and age of majority identification will be required to be served alcohol if you appear to be under 19 years of age. Captains, let your team members know that they are advised to BRING ID or they may not be served. Individuals who have been ID'd and are over the age of majority will be identified to indicate they have been checked, however, if there is any question at any point of service, you may be asked to show ID again. Participants and spectators will be subject to cooler checks upon entry to the beach. Security and Greeters at entrance Gates 1, 2 and 3 will be prepared to check your ID when you enter the park if there is any doubt that you are 19 or older. We encourage you to take advantage of this in order to avoid line-ups later at the licensed bar entrances . We thank you in advance for your consideration and understanding in this matter.
